TOWER - I have been making Towers since I first started making time-telling art. This one is made from a solid piece of wood that is coated with a sand texture, then combed to produce the wave texture. A turquoise, quarter-dial piping ads a little surprise of color. The 3 inch face is made from pine that is painted and given a subtle hint of shadowing with colored pencil. Little black lines with turquoise dots mark each hour. The hands are painted. A Steve Hurst signature mini-arrow with a turquoise tip finishes the look.
